Trivia
- There are many references to Marvel Comics in this issue:
- Ambush Bug clearly states that the Lightning Strikes are a pastiche of the Marvel's Thunderbolts;
- Nocturna also mentions them being alternate version of the Suicide Squad. The Thunderbolts' creation was in fact heavily inspired by the Suicide Squad;
- During his clash with Blood Pouch, Ambush Bug's outfit is reminiscent of the X-Men's classic suits.
- Later, the two Fourth Wall-breaking characters both point their fingers to each other, mirroring the iconic scene of the Spider-Men from the 1967 Spider-Man animated series episode, "Double Identity".
- While pointing to each other, they both mention sounding like an attractive Canadian. This is a reference to the actor Ryan Reynolds who portrayed Deadpool, a Fourth-Wall breaking character like Ambush Bug and Blood Pouch.
- Dead Red becomes bigger as he gets angrier which is a reference to Hulk's raw power being directly proportional to his rage.
- Ambush Bug clearly states that the Lightning Strikes are a pastiche of the Marvel's Thunderbolts;
- As he dies at the hands of Major Force, Oedipus calls for his mother which is another reference to the Oedipus complex.
