Synopsis for "Power Lunch"

Superboy flies Guardian to New York City. Guardian has an appointment to meet Arsenal, newly discovered to be his great-nephew, at Warriors (the restaraunt owned by Guy Gardner). Superboy volunteered after seeing Roxy and her father Rex off and telling Serling Roquette that he can't be with her at that time since he's still grieving over Tana Moon. Kon drops Guardian off at Warrior's and tells him he'll be back later after some sight seeing. Guardian changes into street clothes and meets Roy as well as Lian, Roy's daughter. Jim is anxious to know about some family history since by the time he was "revived" after his murder all the family he knew was gone. Up until meeting Roy, he had always been content at leaving the past in the past. Roy doesn't know much about the family history, just that his father died when he was young without any other family so it's just Roy, Jim, and Lian.

Instead of a day off, what Superboy gets is an encounter with a crazed metahuman called Negative G who can control gravity fields. After lifting an entire street worth of cars into the air and hurling a bus straight up Superboy decides to take action. He saves the bus but Negative G pins him into the pavement and takes off. Dr. Mateo Rivera from S.T.A.R. Labs is on hand and explains Negative G's power to Superboy as the effects begin to wear off -- which means Superboy only has seconds to spare to move everyone from the falling cars and other vehicles. Rivera gives Superboy a device by which to track Neg G and the kid takes off in pursuit.

At Warrior's, Jim wonders if he's made a mistake intruding on Roy's life since he's a clone, not sure if they're even really family. Roy almost angrily asserts that they are family and that Jim is stuck with him and Lian as part of his life now.

Superboy tracks Negative G to the pier where the young metahuman is holding a press conference. SB flies right in and is pounded into through the pier into the muck beneath the water. Thinking quickly, Superboy is able to use his tactile telekinesis to free himself from the water and gets the jump on Neg G, who goes down with one punch.

Jim and Roy conclude their chat and Superboy comes by to pick Guardian up and take him back to Cadmus. Both of them feel like they're continuing to grow.
