Superman: Lois and Clark #7 is an issue of the series Superman: Lois and Clark (Volume 1) with a cover date of June, 2016. It was published on April 20, 2016.
Synopsis for "Arrival, Part VII"
Several years ago, Lois and Jon were returning home after buying groceries; only to find Clark throwing a small party for them. It is a celebration for Lois' first published book as Author X. As Jon goes off to drink root beer, Clark and Lois wonder if Jon would ever develop superpowers. No matter what happened, though, he would always be their little Superboy.
In the present, Lois and Jon find themselves locked up in a burning tool closet, but thanks to Jon's nascent powers they are able to escape. Unfortunately, they are surrounded by Intergang thugs.
Meanwhile, Superman fights Blackrock on the Roosevelt Bridge. Superman withstands Blackrock's attacks and easily tears his armor apart. Afraid, Blackrock says he only tore down the bridge as part of a TV show. Angry Blackrock endangered bystanders for TV, Superman destroys the camera crew's recording equipment and goes off to save Lois and Jon.
On the other side of the world, Hyathis has attacked the government facility where Henshaw is being held. Hyathis wants Henshaw to give him the Oblivion Stone, but he only has half of it.
Superman arrives just in time to disarm the Intergang men and bring Lois and Jon home, while the Intergang henchmen are caught in the explosion. As soon as they get home, Jon wants answers from his parents. Lois explains to Superman that Jon was able to walk through flames and help her escape from the burning closet. Superman and Lois tell Jon they come from an alternate universe, a universe different from the one they are in right now. That universe is gone and this one is their home. The Superman and Lois Jon reads about in the newspapers are the ones native to the current universe.
Jon asks why did they lie about their origins and Clark explains they wanted to protect him and Lois says they did not even know if Jon would have superpowers in the first place. Suddenly, Superman begins having visions of people being attacked by alien soldiers. Whatever happens, Superman decides not to put his family in danger, so he departs to address the emergency. He promises to come back for Lois and Jon.
Hyathis interrogates Henshaw for the location of the Oblivion Stone's other half, which was already found by Superman and stored in his new Fortress of Solitude.
