Synopsis for Infected: Chapter 4, "Lockdown"

As his Doomsday infection worsens, Superman has turned himself in to the authorities. He has been taken to a prison, the same one Luthor was imprisoned at. There, Batman, Cyborg, Luthor, Dr. Ray Palmer and Dr. Veritas work to find a way to stop his mutation, but so far they have no results. Suddenly, Superman begins to manifest more Doomsday spores but the Justice League has developed measures that protect humans from its effects.

Later, Lois visits the facility at Superman's request. Although she wants to be optimistic for his sake, Superman asks Lois to warn everyone about what happened to him. Brainiac takes control of Lois and taunts Superman about his condition, showing him a vision of the Teen Titans in danger. Disturbed, Superman quickly escapes the facility to help the Titans. Batman asks Lois about her conversation with Superman, but she uses her telepathy to make Batman forget about it.

The Teen Titans are fighting Detritus, a sentient body armor that fought Superboy earlier. Superman quickly enters the scene and defeats Detritus. The Titans are unnerved by Superman's condition, exclaiming something is wrong with him. Superman, uneasy by the Titans' expression, leaves; believing everything is wrong with him.

Notes

Story continues from Batman/Superman #11 and continues in Action Comics (Volume 2) #32.

  • An editor's note from "Eddie" instructs the reader to "see Superman/Wonder Woman #9" for a comment made by a soldier referring to events that happened in Metropolis, however this must be a misprint because those events occurred in Superman/Wonder Woman #8.
