Synopsis for "A Minute Longer"

A small boy is playing on his smartphone until he finds himself in a torn down school building that will be used by LexCorp to build a retirement home. Making his way inside, the boy finds a small, glowing yellow creature and tries to hold it but the creature attacks him.

Two weeks later, cases of child disappearances have turned up all over Metropolis and Superman has been investigating non-stop about who could be responsible. Deep down, Superman is afraid for his own son but knows he cannot let that fear stop him from doing his duty. He flies down to a street to meet up with the missing children's parents, telling them to send any available information on their children to Clark Kent from the Daily Planet. With his enhanced vision, Superman detects some footprints left by a child, possibly one of the victims. The footprints emit some yellow energy, which Superman identifies as the emotion of fear.

Meanwhile, the boy from the torn down school sneaks into a girl's room and kidnaps her, baring his glowing yellow eyes and hideous fangs to her victim. The boy takes the girl out into the street, but Superman catches up to them. Identifying the boy as one of the kidnapped victims, Superman attempts to comfort him but the boy blasts Superman with an energy beam. The girl also attacks Superman as well, and he is left unconscious while the children escape.

Later, Superman is found by two police officers and he tells them to get the emergency services on standby. He flies high into the sky and concentrates his sight to perceive the emotional spectrum across the entire city, until he manages to find a small concentration of fear in the torn down school. He gets inside the building, suspecting that Sinestro is somehow responsible for the kidnappings, but the truth is far more disturbing: Parallax has taken the children.

The fear entity uses the children's fear to strengthen himself, but Superman's courage allows the Man of Steel to hold his own. Unfortunately, Parallax still holds power over the children and only agrees to release him if Superman surrenders. Knowing Parallax is interested in only him and not the children, Superman surrenders and Parallax takes control of his body. Suddenly, Sinestro arrives at Parallax's hideout and says that Parallax belongs to him.
