At the dam, Walter Fish tells the group that he originally arrived at the facility with his two daughters and wife. He lost them all to the sickness and swears he arrived right after the Evergreen Expedition people left. Lucy begins coughing and asks him how he knows they just left. He tells her that the vegetables and fruits were still alive and lush. He asks if they believe him and pleads he's just a lonely man. Lucy tells him she believes him but lies about being alone. Walter claims he used the cameras littered around the forest to track them down and help them from Haggerty.
