Synopsis for "Demons"
In space, Takion relives the moments of his life when he was human, but his memories mix with the day he caused Nancy's death. Takion snaps out of it, but a sudden meteorite hits him, dispersing his energy form. His mind also drifts away and connects with the consciousness of a nearby Darkstar called Tarant fighting an alien fleet. Looking through Tarant's memories, Josh remembers he saw this scene when the Highfather turned him into Takion, the first time his cosmic awareness overwhelmed him. Tarant accidentally kills his pursuers, and the feeling of guilt returns to Takion, forcing him to separate from Tarant and return to his time/self.
Takion follows Tarant's trail to VII Yullqa and helps the Darkstar find the smuggler he was chasing. Tarant fights Khwrr alone, without Takion's aid, and Josh is impressed by the Darkstar's will despite his lack of powers. Takion thanks Tarant for teaching him to face his fears and then disappears.
Immediately after Takion disappears, Stayne shows up behind Tarant, following Takion's trail.
