Synopsis for "Lightning in a Bottle, Part Two: Origins"

Bart Allen awakens from a dream about his past, detailing his past adventures as both Impulse and Kid Flash. Meanwhile, Griffin Grey is at the hospital. He gets out from his bed in incredible pain, and soon finds himself writhing on the floor and emanating a strange green electricity-like energy.

Bart confesses to Jay and Joan Garrick that he is still in fact able to connect to the Speed Force. They are angry that he has hidden the truth from them, but they also want to help him control it. Bart feels like it will tear him apart, and wants instead for S.T.A.R. Labs to remove his connection so that he can leave his life as a speedster behind him.

Luke Thatcher is outside of S.T.A.R. Labs planning his next attack; the laboratory had provided the artificial intelligence for Keystone Motors' new robotic assembly line.

Bart visits Griff at the hospital to find his friend demanding to be discharged. Apparently, he had completely healed. After leaving, the two return to Keystone Motors plant to visit the scene of the accident and give their stories to the police. Inside, the memories of his experience stir up Griff's emotions and he unleashes a flurry of green energy, knocking a news crew's cameraman nearly to his death. Griff, however, demonstrates his new abilities by leaping up in the air and rescuing the man.

At S.T.A.R. Labs, Tina McGee and Valerie Perez have finally managed to get Bart to come in to talk to them. Tina shows him a new Flash suit they have designed for him. He is hesitant to accept it, but relents.

After another dream about his legacy, Bart awakens early in the morning and calls Valerie, demanding that his connection to the Speed Force be removed. All of a sudden, Thatcher's bomb sets off at S.T.A.R. Labs while Bart is still on the phone. He dons his grandfather's costume and blazes off to rescue Valerie.
