A dwarf in France frames his rival for a murder so that he can be beheaded and the dwarf can hire a doctor to transplant his head onto his handsome body. When the dwarf with his new body asks his beloved if she'll marry him, she agrees, then she tells him that her dead lover had serious heart trouble. The shock of this revelation is enough to induce cardiac arrest.

A man unknowingly sends his adopted son off to a school for witches, and when the star pupil returns for summer break he accuses the man of stealing from his father leading to his death from heart failure. The man advances on the boy with a knife, intending to blame the killing on a burglar, but the young witch's familiar claws the man to death.
