A dwarf in France frames his rival for a murder so that he can be beheaded and the dwarf can hire a doctor to transplant his head onto his handsome body. When the dwarf with his new body asks his beloved if she'll marry him, she agrees, then she tells him that her dead lover had serious heart trouble. The shock of this revelation is enough to induce cardiac arrest.
