Weyland Smith was a Fable who was considered the leader of The Farm.
History
When Snow White visited one day, he could not be found. She later found him in a cave, chained to the floor and forced to make weapons for The Farm's revolutionists who were planning an uprising [1]. He was later freed and the uprising put down.
He would later be seen in Fabletown as it's residents were preparing for an attack by an army of Wooden Soldiers [2]. During the attack, Smith was killed by the soldiers' gunfire [3].

Immortality: As a Fable, Weyland is effectively immortal with a lifespan going back several hundred years.
