Synopsis for Captain Marvel: "Jack of All Trades"
Billy goes to a tiny out of the way town for a relaxing weekend away from the big city, and finds that due to all the town's men being off fighting the war, the old man who sells them their return tickets not only does that, he drives a taxi, works a hotel desk and is also the bellhop. Among many, many other literal hats he also wears. Just then the old man receives a telegram that an uncle just died and left him a million dollars, causing the old man to quit all his jobs and head off to live up his remaining years. Like a good honest soul, Cap steps up to fill the old man's shoes as mayor, fire chief, police chief, and justice of the peace, until the old man returns, having missed the whole message. It really said "Your uncle died, leaving you. A million regrets at your bereavement."

Synopsis for Ibis the Invincible: "The Deadly Dead"
Infamous murderer Killer Kull dies in the electric chair, but a mortician produces a paper that Kull signed over his corpse to the man in the event of his death. This Dr. Grayve proceeds to use mad science and black magic to bring Kull's head back to life with the power to float at will, as well as attach himself to any headless body. Kull shows his gratitude by killing the scientist and setting out on a quest for revenge against the people who convicted him. Including Taia. Ibis fends him off by conjuring magic free-floating boxing gloves.
Outside, Kull's spotted by police who shoot his body, but his head detaches and crashes into a chimney that he tries to crush them with. Ibis comes running out and turns the falling wreckage into harmless feathers, but realizes he's up against one of the most bizarre enemies of his career.
Ibis manages to track the head to its creator's lab, where he challenges Ibis' masculinity into fighting him without magic, but the heroic mage is just as skilled with his fists and proceeds to knock the head off of each body Kull tries to use against him. The head manages to seize the Ibistick in his teeth and tries to use it to show Ibis what it was like to go for a ride Ol' Sparky. As always, any use of the Ibistick that would hurt its true own backfires on the offender. This allows Ibis to reclaim his wand and drain the malignant essence from the head, killing Kull a second time, but now for good.
