Firebrand is a legacy name used by flame-wielding super-heroes in the DC Universe.

The original was a non-powered vigilante named Rod Reilly, the son of a wealthy tycoon who fought crime with his servant Slugger Dunn. His sister Danette Reilly is a volcanologist who takes his mantle when she develops pyrokinetic powers. Alex Sanchez became the third Firebrand when philanthropist Noah Hightower put him through experimental surgery. Andre Twist took over for the deceased Sanchez as a rioter during the Battle for Bludhaven. The alias has been associated with several teams including the All-Star Squadron and the Freedom Fighters. The current Firebrand; Janet Fals, was introduced in the DC Rebirth as a member of The Unexpected.

Firebrand was created by S.M. Iger and Reed Crandall, first published by Quality Comics in Police Comics #1 (1941).
