Firestorm (Volume 2) #2 is an issue of the series Firestorm (Volume 2) with a cover date of July, 1982. It was published on April 8, 1982.

Synopsis for "Rage!"

Firestorm has lost the trail of Black Bison, and goes to Central Park to ponder over the events of the past few hours. Divining no leads, he decides to split into Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stein. He drops Stein off at his office building at Concordance Research. Stein introduces Ronnie to his energetic co-worker Harry Carew. Afterwards Ronnie returns to his high school.

Meanwhile, Black Bison is loose on the streets of New York, and rides his white stallion to the uptown townhouse of senator Walter Reilly. Overwhelmed with a need to avenge his people for the theft of their sacred heritage, he kidnaps Reilly's daughter Lorraine, and brings her back to Central Park and holds her hostage.

Martin Stein learns about the kidnapping and calls Ronnie. The two transform back into Firestorm and fly down to the park. Black Bison animates the characters from an Alice in Wonderland statue and commands them to attack Firestorm, who uses his powers to keep the animated effigies at bay.

Meanwhile, John Ravenhair's girlfriend Vanessa Tremont arrives at the park. She begins speaking to Black Bison in an effort to strengthen the resolve of John Ravenhair. Bison is momentarily distracted by Vanessa's efforts, giving Firestorm the opportunity to snatch the Bison Cult talisman off his chest. With the evil influence of the talisman gone, Black Bison turns back into John Ravenhair.
