Synopsis for Black Canary: "The Riddle of the Roses"
Larry Lance is hired by millionaire Charles Lang to recover a stolen emerald. Meanwhile, Lang's nephew Nelson orders every single rose in Dinah Drake's flower shop delivered to his house. When making the delivery, Dinah and Larry find crooks in the Lang home. The crooks escape despite their efforts to stop them.
Larry and Dinah, as the Black Canary, return to the flower shop where they find Nelson murdered. They continue on to Charles Lang's summer home, where they find the crooks again. They rescue Charles and apprehend the gang. It is then reveal that Nelson had stolen the emerald and intended to turn it over to the crooks. However, he changed his mind and he hid the emerald in one of Dinah's roses before the crooks murdered him.

- In Ghost Patrol, Fred and Pedro, despite being ghosts, are head-konked unconscious, with pistol butts. Gabby Gayles is an old friend of the Ghost Patrol, whom Pedro meets for the first time.
