Synopsis for "The Dweller in the Sea"
Years ago the son of the Perkins family was born with a severe sodium deficiency, and the delivering doctor recommended he spend most of the time in the ocean to absorb from the abundant salt there to save his life. Years later, "Neptune" Perkins has grown up more at home in the water than on land, and author of several famous books on marine biology. A gangster obsessed with eating rice commandeers Neptune's boat to use it to haul contraband out of the state. Hawkman intervenes but ends up captured, however he escapes by wrecking Neptune's boat by letting water into the hold where they're being held captive. This causes all the rice to swell and smash through the hull, something Hawkman announces has caused more than one shipwreck in the past.
