Forager is one of the Bugs of New Genesis that live alongside the good New Gods lead by Highfather. The Bugs are usually treated as a sub-species, but Forager's bravery in battle lead him to become respected by the Gods above. Following his death during Cosmic Odyssey a second Bug began calling herself Forager as his successor. Forager was created by Jack Kirby as part of his Fourth World saga, first appearing in New Gods #9. (1972)
