- Alone, we were dreamers -- but, together we were the dream itself! And we followed the highways that only dreamers see! Zoomin' over the eletron road... beyond logic... beyond forever! 'Cause that's who we were, y'know? Forever People.

Forever People (Volume 2) #1 is an issue of the series Forever People (Volume 2) with a cover date of February, 1988.
Synopsis for "The Day After Forever!"
Serifan is sitting alone in a grassland on the planet Adon, talking to his Cosmic Cartridges, remembering the adventures he had years ago on Earth with the Forever People before Devilance's attack stranded them into that alien planet. Taking advantage of his nostalgic feelings, The Dark appears before him and makes a proposition. Serifan tries to escape, but he ends up under the control of The Dark.
Big Bear and Beautiful Dreamer, now married and expecting a baby, head on to a meeting hosted by Mark Moonrider. They arrive at the meeting hall, and Mark and his family welcome them. Mark is about to start the speech, and Dreamer tells him to wait for Serifan to arrive, but Mark doesn't want him near, saying he'll kill him if he gets close. Changing his attitude, Mark starts his speech.
The speech is an annual celebration of the "Rebirth Day"-- the day the Forever People arrived on Adon. When the five young adventurers arrived, the natives were a simple, utterly unsophisticated people. In time, they welcomed the strangers into their society. In an attempt to develop this planet and share their knowledge with the natives, Vykin used his Mother Box to develop a "Techno-Psychic Surgery". Serifan begged Moonrider to stop the experiment, but they moved forward. The experiment succeeded, turning the primitive natives of Adon into the advanced society of Forevertown, but it took a great price: the death of Vykin and the destruction of the Mother Box.
Moonrider ends his speech and invites the people to celebrate the holiday. Suddenly, Serifan, being controlled by The Dark, crashes at the party and attacks the guests. Mark, Dreamer, and Big Bear try to fight the army of shadows, but they end up being devoured by them.
