Fort Edgar was a small suburban community outside of the Los Angeles area in southern California.
History
It was also the name of a quarantine compound used by a secret society known as the Mammonites. The Mammonites used Fort Edgar as a foothold in their goals to suppress the spiritual harmony of the indigenous native population as well as the grass-roots hippie movement of the 1960s. In the early 1970s, the Mammonites abducted a young child named Brother Christopher, whom they believed was destined to usher in an age of enlightenment commonly referred to as the Fifth World. Fearing that such a phenomenon may actually come to pass, they kept Christopher sequestered in a special cell inside the fort, where they consistently monitored him for potential psychic abilities.
In 1995, Brother Christopher escaped from Fort Edgar and reunited with his mother, the animal spirit totem known as White-Buffalo-Woman. Christopher harnessed his internal spiritual power and evolved into a hybrid power being, which he called the Snake of Change. As the Snake of Change, he opened the barriers between the physical world and the spirit plane, ushering in the age of the Fifth World. Massive earthquakes shook the California area signaling the death knell of the previously named Fourth World. Fort Edgar was leveled during the earthquake and many of the Mammonite leaders were killed during the carnage.
