Franklin Stern was briefly the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet.
History
He became acting editor-in-chief in the spring 0f 2010, a position he hoped to make permanent.[1]
In the position of editor-in-chief, Stern fired both Lois Lane and Clark Kent. A decision he later went back on, after being convinced by Perry White to re-hire them.[2] By 2013, Stern had been replaced by Perry as the newspaper's editor-in-chief.[3]

- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the television series Smallville and is an adaptation of Franklin Stern. The original character was created by Louise Simonson and Jon Bogdanove and first appeared in Superman: The Man of Steel #27.
