Frederick "Fred" Danvers is a scientist and Kara Supergirl's adoptive father.

History

Fred and his wife Edna adopted a orphan girl named Linda Lee from the Midvale Orphanage, ignoring she was Superman's only living relative. Linda revealed her real identity to him and his wife afterwards and they protected her secret from that day on.
