- The two Dodo and the Frog stories, the Blackie Bear story and the J. Rufus Lion story are all part of an extended narrative where Fennimore Frog is stuck in Dunbar Dodo's closet.
- The 3 Mouseketeers and Henry the Laughing Hyena each have Fennimore Frog's voice emanating from a random door asking to be let out, continuing the gag.
