Fury is a legacy name used by several heroes inspired by the Amazons, and additional unrelated characters.
- The original was a heroine named Helena Kosmatos active during World War II as a member of the Young All-Stars. She is the avatar of Tisiphone and her identity is inspired by Wonder Woman.
- Hippolyta "Lyta" Trevor is the next title-bearer. Pre-Crisis, she was the biological daughter of Diana Prince, Princess of Paradise Island and General Steven Trevor. Post-Crisis, she is the biological daughter of Helena Kosmatos, raised by Miss America and Derek Trevor. She is a founding member of Infinity, Inc., alongside her future husband Hector Hall.
- Erik Storn succeeds her as part of Lex Luthor's Everyman Project, a razor-clawed hero who later became Amazing Woman.
Fury was created by Roy Thomas, Dann Thomas and Jerry Ordway, first appearing in Wonder Woman #300 (1983).
There is also a super-criminal named Earl Povich who uses this identity to fight the Flash. There is also a powerful nuclear being named Fury who exists as an avatar of the Firestorm Matrix.
