Tiger Shark was an enemy of Batman.
History
Dr. Gaige was a famed oceanographer who turned to crime, under the secret identity as the Tiger Shark. Gaige recruited a dockside gang of criminals and started a series of spectacular crimes at sea. Batman and Robin took an interest in Tiger Shark's operations and managed to capture the costumed villain using their newest vehicle, an underwater vessel called the "sub-batmarine". This vehicle was a special bat-submarine, equipped with grappling hooks, periscope, batarang gun, diving gear, and a net for ensnaring submarines. Ironically, the "sub-batmarine" was designed especially for their use by Dr. Gaige himself, much to the surprise of both parties after Tiger Shark was unmasked by Batman and his true identity exposed.

- This version of Gaige (Earth-Two), including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
