In the 30th Century Galahad, purest of King Arthur's knights, was reincarnated as a Japanese warrior.

Origins

In his first life, Galahad quested to find the Holy Grail. Although he was only able to see its image, he was forever changed by the experience. Galahad fell in the wars between Arthur, his father Lancelot and Arthur's bastard son Modred.

Camelot 3000

Over two thousand years later, Galahad was reborn in Japan. He failed to save the life of a man who had hired him as a bodyguard when Japan was attacked by alien invaders, and was about to commit seppuku for his failure when Lancelot came to him bearing a charm created by Merlin which restored his memories of his previous life. Galahad agreed to follow Lancelot and join Arthur's quest against the aliens, but still believed that honour demanded he die for his failure.

Galahad fought loyally for Arthur's cause, and the Knights of the Round Table won many victories until tragedy struck when Merlin was kidnapped by Morgan LeFay and Arthur's squire Tom was grievously wounded in a subsequent attack. Arthur decided to split his forces; one half would find the Grail and use it to save Tom's life, while the other would take the fight to the aliens and LeFay on the tenth planet of the solar system. Sir Percival, who had also seen the image of the Grail in his first life, was sent to find the Grail with Lancelot while Galahad accompanied Arthur to attack the alien world. Although Percival believed that Galahad should join the quest for the Grail, Galahad was content to have merely seen it.

Arthur, Galahad, Sir Gawain and Sir Tristan stole the only rocket left on Earth, which Galahad piloted to Chiron; the alien's homeworld and LeFay's base. When they arrived they found that the questing party, except for Percival, had reached the planet just before them, and the Knights happily reunited. That night they were approached by friendly aliens who joined them for an assault on Castle LeFay. They were unable to breach the defences, and so Arthur ordered Galahad to use the ship as a battering ram and break through. The castle's defenders threw themselves from the battlements onto the ship, weighing it down and preventing Galahad from piloting it through the main gate. He triggered a self-destruct which blew open the walls of the castle, and regained his honour by sacrificing himself.

The knights were ultimately victorious and returned to Earth, where they built a memorial to Galahad and the others who had fallen in their quest.
