Synopsis for "24 Hours From Death!"
Thomas Rhodes is convicted and sentenced to be executed for the murder of his best friend,Len Hammond---Hammon had been shot in the head with a gun owned by Rhodes; and this was judged suitable evidence for conviction.
But the arresting officer in the case continues to have his doubts. The dead man's widow had suffered a nervous breakdown and was unable to be a character witness for Rhodes.
Just to be certain, the police ordered the body exhumed for a more thorough autopsy and discovered Hammond had died of poisoning. With only two days before the scheduled execution; the arresting officer discovered a racket that was blackmailing ex-convicts and that Hammond had threatened to expose the ringleader; news photographer Clyde Tinsley, who had attatched himself to the case as an unsuspected tag-along.
Tinsley was captured red-handed trying to kill Hammond's widow, and Rhodes was released.
