The Garden of Eden is the earthly paradise created by The Presence to be inhabited by his first human creations - Adam, Eve, and Lilith in some continuities.

History

Adam was the first man created by God in his image. After God saw the loneliness of Adam as "not good", he created Lilith, the first woman, to be his wife. When Lilith refused to obey Adam and their creator, she was cast out of the Garden and God created Eve to fill her place.[1]

When Adam began naming the animals in the Garden, "the Beast" managed to escape without being named.[2]

Eventually, the "Serpent" tempted Eve to eat the fruit of the forbidden Tree of Knowledge in the Garden. Eve ate the fruit and gave some to Adam, who also ate. God learned of their transgression and banished them from the Garden.

The Garden of Eden was also the Parliament of Trees' first home. A battle between The Green and The Grey was responsible for the destruction of Eden and its frozen state. Its ruins lie frozen... in what is now called Antarctica.[3]

Just after the second world war, the Garden was resettled at the goddess Aphrodite's command by a group of Venusian women turned human. They were led by the princess of Venus Eve, who led her people with the aid of Wonder Woman through the early conflicts with the Seal Men.[4]
