History
New Earth
In the mythical garden the daughters of the titan Atlas, the Hesperides ("Nymphs of the West", Aegle, Arethusa and Erytheia), take care of the tree with golden apples that is protected by the dragon Ladon.[1]
Prime Earth
The garden is accessed through a Greek-style altar in the Atlas Mountains in northwest Africa where a small golden apple tree is planted; upon touching it, one is transported to the Garden of the Hesperides, which is hidden from man.[2]
Eris, the goddess of discord and chaos, a creature who embodied everything wrong in the world, was wanted as far away from man as possible. The only place she is welcome is in the Garden of the Hesperides, where her golden apples, the Apples of Discord, grow, protected by the dragon Ladon.[2]
DC Extended Universe
The Garden of the Hesperides is located next to Mount Olympus in the Gods' Realm. There the golden apple tree of the Hesperides is called the Tree of Life, protected by the dragon Ladon.[3]
