Gary Watts was a Deputy Sheriff in Smallville.

History

In the spring of 2002, Watts kidnapped local girl, Chloe Sullivan. His plan was to kidnap the girl and then rescue her, making him a hero.

However, a recent accident had caused Watts to be telepathically linked to Lana Lang, allowing her to see brief glimpses through his eyes. This foiled his plan and led to Chloe (whom Watts had buried alive in a field), to be rescued by Clark Kent.

Enraged, Watts kidnapped Lana and tried to kill her, but was stopped by Clark again. Afterwards, Watts was gunned down and killed by other officers.
