Synopsis for "Abandon All Hope..."

Backlash, Taboo, and Evo lie unconscious and bleeding in the snow outside the burning ruins of the Purgatory Max prison in Antarctica.  Two days earlier, members of the superhuman neo-Nazi group Axis infiltrated the prison, slaughtered the guards, and freed all the prisoners.  At Department PSI, Director Giovanni briefed Wildcore on the incident, revealing that Axis’s true goal was the liberation of Heinrich von Krauss a.k.a. the World War II-era Nazi villain Baron Todt. Despite Taboo’s misgivings, the team then deployed to Antarctica to stop Todt.  Upon arrival, they found the prison wall breached, entered, and split up to search. Immediately, Azrum was killed by the sorcerer Molokio.  Alea and Vigor were dragged off and killed by the tentacled Chessman.  Brawl, Ferrian, and Geist were killed by other prisoners. Blacktooth and his gang took Taboo captive, but she was quickly rescued by Hangman.  Backlash reached Baron Todt’s cell but found it empty except for a bomb set to explode.  Evo rescued him just in time, flying him out of the prison, but Backlash still lost his lower leg in the blast.  Hangman got Taboo out and placed her with Backlash and Evo, activating Slayton’s homing beacon. Later, Giovanni and PSI operatives arrive and evacuate the survivors, uncertain about the future of Wildcore.

Synopsis for "Homecoming"

In need of a place to stay, DV8 visits Sublime’s family home in Greenwich, Connecticut.  Her parents are welcoming, but she is uncomfortable and rude.  Copycat notices photos on the wall taken by Sublime’s mother, Susan, and she tells the team about her career as a photographer.  Annoyed, Rachel storms out to the back yard.  Frostbite tries to talk to her, and Susan soon follows.  She reveals how she met Rachel’s real father in Afghanistan while working as a photojournalist.  To avoid embarrassment among their social class over an out of wedlock pregnancy, Susan lied and claimed Rachel was adopted.  Stunned, Sublime reconciles with her mother.  Susan then shows Rachel a lighter, inscribed with the name “Cray”, she got from Rachel’s father.  Sublime sees it and realizes her father was Deathblow.
