Gen 13 Bootleg #14 is an issue of the series Gen 13 Bootleg (Volume 1) with a cover date of December, 1997.

Synopsis for the 1st Story

Gen 13 fends off an attack from a squad of armored alien attackers, sending them back through the portal from which they came.  Irritated by the noise, the team's next door neighbor William Dietrich calls the police.  The cop he speaks to recognizes Lynch from Dietrich's description and contacts a supervillain named Hammersmith he met at a convention.  Hammersmith has a grudge against Lynch for once turning him in to IO. Later, Gen 13 leaves to go clubbing, and Hammersmith and his men storm the team's house.  Lynch, Alex Fairchild, and Anna fight back and force them to retreat. Claire Dietrich, William's wife, smacks one of the henchmen with a frying pan so Hammersmith decides to take her and her husband hostage.  Lynch recalls Gen 13, and they have Grunge transform into water and sneak into the Dietrich's house through its sewer pipes.  He distracts Hammersmith long enough for the rest of the team to enter through the front door, and they successfully subdue the villain and his henchmen.  Grateful to Lynch and Gen 13, the Dietrichs take a liking to Grunge and extend him an open invitation to their home.
