Synopsis for the 1st Story
Lynch takes Gen 13 to a downtown San Diego shopping mall. While the others window shop, Grunge goes to a comic book store to bid on a rare chromium cover comic. He loses the bid and angrily sulks when the team goes to lunch. While in the restroom, Grunge is approached by a stranger who offers him the comic in exchange for his soul. Grunge eagerly accepts. He returns to the team's table with the comic, but then suddenly passes out. He is awakened by Tinker Fall, a small pixie who resembles Freefall. She explains he is in the Land of S.A. (Sequential Art) and needs to find the Wizard to go home. To begin their search, she takes him to Riverdale where he meets Archie Andrews and his friends. They take Grunge out to eat, and he hits on Betty and Veronica who both slap him. Reggie tells him he can find the Wizard in the Valley of the Dolls. After Grunge leaves, Archie reminds Reggie he forgot to warn Grunge about the Bad Girls.
