Gen 13 (Volume 2) #30 is an issue of the series Gen 13 (Volume 2) with a cover date of June, 1998.

Synopsis for "Stranger Than Fiction"

Bobby and Caitlin argue about the existence of zombies as Gen 13 enjoys time on the beach in their new home in the Florida Keys.  Grunge sneaks up on Sarah so he can see her topless, angering her, and Bobby chastises him for it afterward.  That night, the sound of drums keeps Lynch awake while Bobby and Caitlin investigate.  Bobby takes the opportunity to confront Caitlin about why she is avoiding Lynch. Before she can answer, they are attacked by a zombie.  They destroy it, but Caitlin remains dubious it was a zombie.  Later, with the rest of the team, they trace it back to a smuggling operation using zombies as muscle.  Gen 13 easily takes them down and subdues the smuggler.  Lynch reveals that these are not true zombies, but rather Zombots—cybernetically reanimated corpses.  The next morning, Lynch is pondering how to repair his relationship with the team when Alex Fairchild arrives looking for Caitlin.
