Synopsis for "Hearts and Minds"

Trance, his Freaks, and a mind-controlled Fairchild taunt and torture the captive members of Gen 13.  Earlier that night, Trance took control of Caitlin’s mind at a rave and led her away. Later, Phobia pointed Roxy and Grunge to the amusement park to find her, and Bobby insisted the team rescue her immediately.  Trance torments Roxy, causing Caitlin pain through the psychic bond they share. This angers Qeelocke, and he teleports Anna in.  She fights the Freaks until Caitlin tears her arm off, revealing her to be a droid.  Gen 13 free themselves and take down the Freaks. Lynch knocks out Trance, freeing Fairchild from his control.  Trance and the Freaks vanish, and the team are ready to go after them when Lynch gets a call from Deathblow asking for help.  He tells the team they are going to war with Miles Craven.  On Caballito Island, Ivana Baiul learns of Craven’s conflict with the former members of Team 7 and tells Threshold to prep DV8 for action. In San Francisco, Ethan McCain a.k.a. Sigma awakens from a violent nightmare.  On Gamorra Island, a gen-active named Absolom fends off an attack by Hunter-Killers while, offshore, Alex Fairchild and Lucius Morgan approach the island by ship.
