General Karnz was a former military officer in the Nazi Party and a collector of rare weapons.

History

Takeo Yamashiro of the Yakuza purchased an enchanted Soultaker Sword that Karnz had acquired. Takeo Yamashiro then used the sword to murder his brother Maseo and Maseo's children Reiko and Yuki. Maseo's wife Tatsu took the blade and became the vigilante Katana to avenge her family.

Katana pursued Karnz to Markovia, where Karnz was staging a coup with Baron Bedlam. Karnz had captured Black Lightning and was attempting to make a deal with him. Katana stabbed him from behind through the tent fabric and escaped into the night.
