Synopsis for "Picture Proof"

Teenager Emily is in Gotham City's Carytown Crossing district one evening when Batman stops a car full of thieves, captures them and ties them up for the police, and takes the computer disks they had stolen. Emily gets a very close look at Batman, but she can not take a picture with her phone because it is being jammed. She does, however, see one of the computer disks evade Batman's search and roll into the storm drain.

The next day at school, Emily tells her friends about seeing Batman, but they don't believe her without a photo (especially one friend named Brian who is mean about it).

That evening, Emily stakes out the storm drain, hoping Batman will return for the disc. He does, and she gets a picture this time.

The next day, she has printed out a photo to show her friends at school, but when her other friends confront Brian about his bullying behavior, she realizes she does not have to prove anything to them and does not show them the photo.

That evening, Batman visits Emily at her home, compliments her on her detective skills, and tells her that he knows she will do the right thing. After Batman leaves, Emily realizes that the lack of concrete information about Batman is one of his greatest assets in intimidating criminals, and she deletes the photos from her phone and tears up the printed copy. The pieces of the photo fall on the ground in the shape of a bat.
