History
In his youth, George Fordman joined the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam.[1] After his service was over, George returned to Smallville, where he took over Fordman's Department Store. He married a woman named Betty and had a son named Whitney. During his son's senior year of high school, George became ill and eventually passed away.[2]

- George Fordman was portrayed by Dale Wilson.
Trivia
- In 2017, a film about George's son was released. In the film, George Fordman was portrayed by Simon Trent, who had long been typecast in the role of Gray Ghost. According to the film, George had been abusive towards Whitney.[3]
