George Washington (1732-1799) was the first President of the United States. He was a Founding Father, and hero of the American War of Independence. As an iconic figure from history, many time travellers have met him, as have contemporary heroes like Tomahawk. The nation's capital was named after him, and a monument was erected in his honor on the National Mall.

George Washington was first adapted in Hit Comics (Volume 1 25) (1942).
