Gerry Regan was the father of Ragman.

History

Gerry Regan was a junkshop owner in Gotham City. After the death of his wife, he promised his son Rory to make him rich. The years passed without Gerry making good on his promise. One night as he and his friends were drinking in the junkyard behind the shop, they discovered a mattress full of money. They vowed to give that money to Rory. Before they could reveal the existence of the fortune to him, gangsters came to retrieve the mattress. Unwilling to give up its location, the gangsters shot down electrical lines upon the men. Rory arrived and grabbed for the men; the electricity charged through their bodies into him. Gerry and his friends were killed but their powers passed onto Rory. This combined with a costume Gerry had left for Rory allowed him to become the vigilante, Ragman.
