History

Gideon is an Artificial Intelligence created by Barry Allen in the future. Subsequently, Gideon has a built-in rule to always obey any command given to it by Barry.

Gideon later became Eobard Thawne's personal computer assistant. When Thawne traveled back in time chasing The Flash, Gideon alerted Thawne that he was no longer connected to the Speed Force. Thawne keeps Gideon in S.T.A.R. Labs, using it to record notes on The Flash's progress and to keep up-to-date with the future.
