Ginger Trevor is Steve Trevor's niece.

History

While Ginger was visiting her uncle in 1943 she and local boy Bobby Lee unknowingly stumbled across evidence of Nazi spies while at the zoo. When they tried to explain the message they'd overheard Steve thought it was just kids telling stories or playing pranks, since they thought it was a lion talking rather than realizing there was a transmitter in the cage. Wonder Woman was willing to hear them out and see the lion, but the message was no longer running and she dismissed it as well. While the adults and Bobby walked on Ginger stayed in front of the lion's cage in order to try and figure out what was really going on, and a Nazi posing as a zookeeper opened the cage to try to get the lion to attack and silence her. He even held a stick with meat on it behind Ginger's head as she tried to avoid the big cat without turning her back to it. Wonder Woman swiftly captured the lion, and Steve grabbed the zookeeper having noticed the man was trying to get the creature to attack his niece.

The next morning the papers exclaimed that the lion and "zookeeper" had managed to go missing, and whats more during the night Ginger and Bobby were kidnapped to try and prevent them from spreading what they'd heard. Not only had Ginger already dutifully told Diana and Steve the message, she'd also recorded it in her diary, ensuring that the Nazis would get caught anyway. Now taking the stories of a "talking lion" more seriously, and with only Ginger's clear memory of what was said instead of it conflicting with Bobby's more garbled memory, Di is able to decode the message which leads her and Steve to Yasmini, the source of the radio items hidden on zoo animals. Meanwhile the Holliday Girls tracked down Ginger and Bobby and rescued them from the Nazis holding them captive.

A year later Ginger's little sister Dotsie also ended up attacked while at the zoo with Steve. The toddler reminded Giganta of her own recently deceased child and the super strong "gorilla" ripped her way out of her cage to pick her up, and then ran off with her when this caused a commotion. Steve understandably stopped taking his nieces to the zoo after this.
