Gnaxos is a giant robot with "super-scientific powers", and enemy of Green Lantern.
History
Gnaxos towers over Green Lantern, and put him on the defensive in battle. He was constructed by the Qwardians to battle Green Lantern. Described as perfect in every way by the Qwardians, he was said to have an evil and distorted mind.
This wasn't the case however as the robot ended up being good, and when Green Lantern was forced to battle it in a gladiator arena for a cure against radiation to save Tom Kalmaku, he produced the cure and told Green Lantern he was secretly an ally. As his final act, he turned around to fight the crowd of Qwardians, allowing Green Lantern to escape before being destroyed.
Green Lantern mourns his loss and vows to keeps the memory of the one who could have been his friend.

- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
