God created the universe and all life within it along with his partner, the Goddess.

Together, they gave birth to the Angels, their sons and daughters, including Lucifer Morningstar, who God cast out of Heaven and into Hell when Lucifer started to rebel against the creation of humans. This made Lucifer eternally angry at his father and abrasive towards his more favored siblings, including Amenadiel, thought to be God's favorite son.

God has always had a hand in guiding Lucifer towards redemption. God sent Amenadiel down to earth to bless two parents unable to have a child; this led to the birth of Chloe Decker, who eventually crosses paths with Lucifer and becomes partners with him in the Los Angeles Police Department.[1]

A piece of the flaming sword made its way to the belt buckle of one Earl Johnson, who was possessed by the divinity of the item and believed himself to be God. It is unknown if Earl was really God but several hints point to it being the case, including calling Lucifer by his real name and performing healing miracles to other patients.[2]

After being manipulated by Michael, God had a thought of retirement. This was followed by Angels discussing about who among them will be taking up the mantle of "God". God decided to get back with Goddess in her own universe.
