As Tristan falls from the Symbolist's trap Olive is encouraged to push her old classmate off with him. As he falls Olive turns to her friends who are outraged, though Olive goes to blame Amy - her room-mate - the others reveal that they have never met the girl and Olive realises that she has been imagining her from the start. Confused and scared Olive jumps off into a hidden passage as Tristan flies back up with Eric in his talons.

Olive is thrown from a tree stump, back outside. She is quickly found by Ham and Professor MacPherson though she swiftly makes her leave to go investigate. Back in the cave Tristan takes Eric to Hammer as the Mizoguchi siblings go explore the cave Olive disappeared down as Pomeline and Colton go searching for answers, though none realise they are being followed.

Further in the cave Pomeline and Colton find a room filled with trinkets and treasures though Pomeline finds her way past them and towards a skeleton in the middle cradling a book, "The Book of Gotham", inside which recalls the story of Amity Arkham and her daughter Beatrice Silverlock. Olive returns to her room but after finding Amy's side empty she appears and reveals that all of the nastiness towards Eric was caused by Olive and the demon summons flames and reveals herself to be Amity, a distant relative, and chases Olive away.

The figure hiding in the cave reveals himself to be Mister Scarlett who steals the book and trances the children into a sleep.

Olive decides to seek out Professor MacPherson for help but finds her talking to Batman, enraged flames rise around Olive as she decides to take control of her life and surges into an inferno vowing to make them all pay.
