Synopsis for "Second Semester, Finale"

Possessed by an ancestral spirit, Olive Silverlock scorches the Academy grounds as Batman attempts to talk her down unsuccessfully. Another blast of fire forces Batman to protect Professor Macpherson and Ham knocks Olive off her feet to give them time. Soon Maps and Kyle arrive to help abate the loneliness of Amity's possession telling her they are family.

Underground in the caves Pomeline and Colton wake up bound together by their old teacher Bookworm. He explains the power of the book while Katherine Karlo, with no one noticing, sneaks out of Maps' bag and unties the ropes. Bookworm reads from the book and tells the story of Amity Arkham; a woman with gifts who was burnt at the stake as a witch and cursed those involved. Her only child, Beatrix given to Amity's close friend Aleinor Frych who gave the baby away to the Silverlock family and then sat down to pen the Book of Old Gotham centred around the Arkham and now Silverlock family line.

Bookworm reads from the old tome and the words reverberate around Olive pulling her apart from Amity. The spirit is manifested as a flame erupting from the book but when it is set upon Pomeline the spirit refuses remembering the Frych line as friends and instead returns to the one who opened the book. Just as it looks like Amity will engulf Bookworm the book is slammed shut by Pomeline who then uses it to knock out the villain. They leave him on the floor and make their way back up to the surface.

Aboveground the situation is dire, anything the Batman does makes the situation worse until Pomeline addresses the spirit, abating it with the book until Batman attempts to ensnare the two and Olive disappears leaving nothing but scorchmarks and a vow for revenge.

In Olive's absence they all look to the skies and worry about the blood debt that Gotham owes.
