The Gotham Cemetery is the place where the remains of deceased people of Gotham City are buried.
History
Earth-Two
Thomas and Martha Wayne are buried in the same place at the cemetery and share a tombstone as they died at the same time.[1]
Earth-One
The Wayne Family had a private mausoleum at the Gotham Cemetery and it was used as the final resting place of Alfred Pennyworth until he was revived using experimental machines.[2] This graveyard was also the place where some scientist decided to bury Mark Desmond after a failed therapy killed him due to strain. However, Desmond's vital signs recovered and the Blockbuster came out of the grave.[3]
New Earth
The Gotham Cemetery is the resting place of notable people in Gotham City. Among them are the Waynes and there is also the Sionis Family Crypt, where the bodies of Charles Sionis and his wife were located. However, the crypt was eventually desecreated by their son Roman Sionis, who adopted the criminal identity of Black Mask and turned the crypt into the hideout of his criminal organization, the False Face Society.[4][5][6]
Eventually, the cemetery was used in one of Penguin's plans after he faked his death and organized a funeral, with a statue done as his tombstone. When the trickery was uncovered, this was most likely removed.[7]
