Synopsis for "Daydreams and Believers"

Stacy writes a letter to her friend, Meg, about being a civilian temp worker and working for the public GCPD. She writes about how the police had lost a case because the perps had claimed that GCPD used Batman on them as a form of police brutality. As a result, no member of the GCPD may now touch the bat signal. She also discusses being attracted to Batman.

Eric Cohen hides Josie MacDonald's coffee mug. Upon entering she is able to find due to her excellent detective skills. She brags to him that her closure rate is higher than his.

Elsewhere, Marcus Driver and Romy Chandler have a hidden romance where they meet up on the roof by the bat-signal at GCPD. Nate Patton likes Romy but hasn't made his move yet. He starts noticing the romance between Romy and Driver and is very sad his partner is keeping something from him.

Sergeant Jackson Davies asks Driver for some overtime. Crispus Allen then asks Davies if he wants help on the Peterson Case. The Peterson case was when a convict named Tiny Maxwell was temporarily let out of prison to go to his mother's funeral. He took this opportunity to escape. He stole a hearse with the Sven Peterson body in the back. The whole Peterson family was there to bury him and watched as Tiny made off with the vehicle and body. Davies found him three hours later at Tiny's favorite bar. Most criminals are stupid enough to return to their old habits. However, the body is missing.

Driver goes to court to testify against Mister Freeze but he knows it will do no good as cop murders don't get the same justice when it is done by a super villain.

Later the police get a call that the body is found at a haunted house. Two school boys found it and thought it would make their haunted house realistic.

Stacy recalls sitting outside with Commissioner Gordon. He told her that a lot of people who are bad don't think through their actions and how it will hurt people.
