This paperback contains the third story from the Gotham Central comic book series: Half a Life. This story was originally published from June to October, 2003. It was written by Greg Rucka and illustrated by Michael Lark.
This story concentrates on Renée Montoya. She's a fine cop, but keeps her private life to herself. That is, until someone reveals her secret while implicating her in a murder. The investigation redefines Montoya's relationship with her colleagues as well as with one of Gotham's most notorious rogues.
This paperback also contains two earlier stories about Renée Montoya: Two Down from March, 1999 and Happy Birthday Two You from August, 2000. Both stories were written by Greg Rucka. Two Down was illustrated by Jason Pearson and Happy Birthday Two You was illustrated by William Rosado.
