Brand was a good friend and writing partner of Andrew Donkin. They worked together on a number of UK comics, including Fleetway's 2000 AD and Marvel UK's The Real Ghostbusters. They did one story for Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #58 together. He passed away shortly after at the age of 27.[1]
