The Granite Lady, or Lady Granite as she is sometimes called, is an enemy of Plastic Man who took an experimental serum that turned her skin completely into stone and gave her superhuman abilities. Originally, Sheila Sorrell was a beautiful nightclub singer, known for her cold behavior towards all the men in town who were in love with her. Thanks to this, she earned the nickname that she would ultimately use as her criminal alias when the serum she took made her go crazy. Being an aspiring opera singer, despite only having an average singing voice, Sorrell began robbing banks to finance her music career with her new found powers.
