- Oh come on, Kent. I know what you see isn't written in stone until it comes to pass, but will ya humor a boy in love with a girl who barely knows he exists? How many kids?

Grant Emerson is Damage, a legacy superhero with the power of an explosive touch and a one-time member of the Justice Society of America.
History
Previously a member of an ill-fated incarnation of the superhero team the Freedom Fighters,[1] Damage later joined the Justice Society,[2] of which his father, the original Atom, was a founding member,[3] and he was forcibly inducted into the undead Black Lantern Corps.[4]
Though the JSA was erased from history after Doctor Manhattan prevented its formation,[5] he later undid his actions, restoring the Justice Society and Damage's place within it. Along with the Society and their allies, he helped Superman defeat the metahumans who were ravaging Washington, D.C.,[2] and fought against the forces of the One Who Laughs.[6]
Damage was among the JSA members who subsequently gathered to take stock of their return to reality, only to be abducted by the Department of Extranormal Operations and stranded in the Bleed between universes. Eventually, they escaped in a DEO transport to Earth-Omega,[4] where they did battle with the forces of Darkseid, who returned the heroes to their own Earth upon their victory.[7] Though no longer active within the Justice Society, Damage later teamed up with Dyna-Mite, a time-lost World War II-era sidekick with explosive powers similar in nature to his own, to defeat the metal-skinned Nazi Reichsmark,[3] and later, against the White Dragon.[8]
